The Pittsburgh Steelers placed punter Adam Podlesh on the reserve-did not report list.

Podlesh's wife gave birth recently following a difficult pregnancy that inclued a successful but complicated delivery, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

“Adam has decided not to report to training camp at this time due to family obligations,” Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert said in a statement.

Brad Wing is handling the punting with Podlesh absent.

Podlesh has previously played for the Chicago Bears and Jacksonville Jaguars.
