The Pittsburgh Steelers signed first-round linebacker Ryan Shazier to a four-year contract with a standard club option for a fifth year.

It's worth $9.5 million, including $9 million guaranteed with a $5.23 million signing bonus.

The speedy inside linebacker from Ohio State is expected to become an immediate starter after being selected 15th overall.

Shazier had 101 tackles, 22.5 for losses last season for the Buckeyes.

Shazier had a 42-inch vertical leap, 10-10 broad jump and bench pressed 225 pounds 25 times at the NFL scouting combine. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.38 seconds prior to the draft.
