Back from suspension and under contract with the Washington Redskins, veteran safety Tanard Jackson is hoping to make the most out of another chance.
After multiple suspensions for violating the NFL drug policy, Jackson is back with the Redskins after missing two years due to his own mistakes.
“It was difficult,’’ Jackson told the Tampa Tribune. "You can imagine somebody getting taken away from something that they love to do and having to humble themselves after doing something wrong. That was me. I had to take responsibility for it and face the consequences.’’
Jackson is grateful for the opportunity.
“Going from playing football to working in a warehouse at a 9-to-5 job is a humbling experience,’’ Jackson said. "It’s taught me to never take anything in this business for granted.’’
