The Houston Texans signed veteran free-agent quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Per the report, it's a two-year, $7.5 million deal that includes $4 million guaranteed.

The Texans are expected to move on at some point from Matt Schaub.

Fitzpatrick, 31, passed for 2,454 yards, 14 touchdowns and 12 interceptions last season in 11 games with nine starts for the Tennessee Titans.

The Texans are likely to draft a quarterbackso, Fitzpatrick would be the backup.
