As the kickoff for the NFL creeps closer, with the season starting in early-September, the 10 most expensive NFL games this year will feature several teams appearing twice on the list. Anticipated to have another deep playoff run this season, the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks find themselves hosting two of the most expensive games on the secondary market this year. The San Francisco 49ers appear on the list twice as they transition into their new home at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara. Though underachieving last year, the New York Giants will also host two of the most expensive games of the season.

Week 1 - Green Bay Packers at Seattle Seahawks | Avg. Price: $594.96 | Get-in: $232

The most expensive game on the secondary market this season will be the first one. The first game on the Seahawks schedule is 3.78% more expensive than the next most expensive game of the season. Seahawks tickets are the most expensive in the NFL on the secondary market this season, making it no surprise their first game as defending Super Bowl champions would be the priciest.

Week 4 - Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears | Avg. Price: $573.25 | Get-in: $147

Though Lambeau Field won’t host any of the NFL’s most expensive games, Packers tickets are still in high demand while on the road. The Packers make the list yet again for their late-September visit to Soldier Field against the Chicago Bears. The average price for September 28 Bears tickets is $573.25 with a get-in price of $147. The Bears schedule will see the two teams meeting during the fourth week of the season. Following their September showdown, they will meet again on November 4 in Green Bay.

Week 9 - Denver Broncos at New England Patriots | Avg. Price: $557.91 | Get-in: $217

An early-November matchup between the Broncos and Patriots for the annual Manning vs Brady game serves as the third highest-priced game of the season. The average price for Broncos vs Patriots tickets is $557.91 with a get-in price of $217. Both the Broncos and Patriots are heavy favorites to take their respective divisions and go deep into the playoffs and Peyton Manning will be playing with a chip on his shoulder following his dismal performance in last season’s Super Bowl. The Patriots schedule will have the teams meeting at Gillette Stadium for the mid-season game.

Week 13 - Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers | Avg. Price: $554.68 | Get-in: $220

What has become the best rivalry in the NFL will be played for the first time at Levi’s Stadium Thanksgiving night. This will also be the first time in the season these two teams meet, with the second game between the two coming just two weeks later in Seattle. With the Seahawks appearing so late on the 49ers schedule, the two games could easily be deciding factors for the winner of the NFC West and possibly the No. 1 seed in the conference.

Week 16 - Cleveland Browns at Carolina Panthers | Avg. Price: $536.44 | Get-in: $39

Though the Browns have failed to reach the playoffs every year since 2002’s Wild Card game exit, the frenzy surrounding college phenom and rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel has allowed ticket prices to rise when his team visits Bank of America Stadium in North Carolina, easily the most expensive game on the Panthers schedule. Carolina is coming off of their best season in five years, where they saw a similar 12-4 record in 2008. The average price for Browns vs Panthers tickets is $536.44 with a get-in price of $39.

Week 3 - Denver Broncos at Seattle Seahawks | Avg. Price: $534.12 | Get-in: $200

In a Super Bowl XLVIII rematch, the Broncos are scheduled to play the Seahawks on September 21 and will serve as the sixth highest-priced game of the season. The average price for Broncos vs Seahawks tickets is $534.12 with a get-in price of $200. Somewhat surprisingly, this is just a late afternoon game Week 3 and will not be played in prime time where ratings and likely ticket prices would be much higher.

Week 7 - San Francisco 49ers at Denver Broncos | Avg. Price: $519.88 | Get-in: $162

This game is a Richard Sherman tipped pass away from being a Super Bowl rematch. It will, however, get a prime time treatment as it’s scheduled to be played on Sunday Night Football. This will be one of five prime time games on the Broncos schedule and one of four for the 49ers.

Week 11 - San Francisco 49ers at New York Giants | Avg. Price: $519.05 | Get-in: $133

The Giants will host the eighth most expensive game of the season when the 49ers head to MetLife Stadium on November 16. The average price for 49ers vs Giants tickets is $519.05 with a get-in price of $133. After beginning the season at an abysmal 0-6 last year, the Giants will hope to regain composure and make another playoff run in hopes of their third title since 2007. This game comes at the end of a rough three week stretch on the NY Giants schedule, preceded by a Monday Night Football game against Indianapolis and a road game in Seattle.

Week 2 - Chicago Bears at San Francisco 49ers | Avg. Price: $503.40 | Get-in: $236

The 49ers will host yet another top-priced game when they welcome the Chicago Bears for the first regular season game ever held at Levi’s Stadium. The average price for Bears vs 49ers tickets is $503.40 with a get-in price of $236. The game will be featured on Sunday Night Football and could see the average price continue to increase leading to the game with 49ers fans wanting to be a part of the stadium’s first game.

Week 12 - Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants | Avg. Price: $481.91 | Get-in: $127

In a NFC East showdown, the Cowboys head to New Jersey to face the Giants on November 23. The average price for Cowboys vs Giants tickets is $481.91 with a get-in price of $127. The Cowboys have failed to make the playoffs since 2009 and have gone 8-8 in each of the last three seasons. The two teams will meet at AT&T Stadium in Dallas for the first time on October 19. While neither entered the playoffs last season, each team will look to bounce back from their underperforming seasons and hope to regain the East from the Eagles.
