Oakland Raiders coach Dennis Allen feels like he knows enough about Terrelle Pryor and Matt Flynn to make a decision on who's his starting quarterback.
However, he's not prepared to make an announcement after Pryor struggled against the Seattle Seahawks while making his bid to win a starting job.
"I'm not telling you, but yeah," Allen told reporters. "You've got to think about competitive reasons, too. We'll keep that in house and announce it at the appropriate time."
As for Pryor, he completed just 3 of 8 passes for 31 yards and an interception against Seattle in the half as Flynn was sidelined with an elbow injury.
Whatever Allen decides, it doesn't look like he's going to be sound under center. At least not to start the season.
"It's going to be Coach's call and whatever he feels is best for the team," Pryor said. "Regardless, at the end of the day, it's all about the team, and if it's me leading, I'll lead to the best of my abilities. And we will get things done. If it's Matt leading, he'll get things done, too."
