Denver Broncos star pass rusher Von Miller has an appeal hearing scheduled for Aug. 15 as he battles a four-game suspension for violating the NFL substance-abuse policy, according to ESPN.

Miller has stated that he doesn't use marijuana. Questions have been raised about whether he missed the test, which is the equivalent of a positive drug test in the eyes of the league office.

Miller recorded 18 1/2 sacks last season.

Miller has 30 sacks in two NFL seasons and is a former NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year.

When asked if marijuana is a part of his life, Miller replied: "Absolutely not."

The Pro Bowl pass rusher told reporters that he couldn't talk much about his case due to confidentiality rules.

The Denver Post has reported that Miller tested positive for amphetamines and marijuana as a rookie.

"It's tough, but I'm going to be me," said Miller, who's allowed to practice. I'm going to come here every single day with my teammates. We're focused on the task ahead. That's pretty much it."

Did he let his teammates down?

"Everybody has tough moments in their lives," Miller said. "I have great teammates. My teammates have been great for me."
