Mike Wallace's decision to hold out from the Pittsburgh Steelers training camp could put a strain on the team's depth at wide receiver, says the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
The Steelers still have Antonio Brown, Emmanuel Sanders and Jerricho Cotchery, but beyond that, there isn't much experience among the remaining wideouts. In other words, without Wallace, the Steelers are one training camp injury away from being in trouble at a position where they should be the deepest with Wallace in the mix.
"There's some ability," offensive coordinator Todd Haley said. "But, at that position, there is some pressure to try to get one of those guys kind of come to the surface. So we'll push them hard, and you'll see that position getting coached pretty vigilantly trying to get that to happen."
Thus far, Wallace has shown no inclination of reporting or signing his restricted free agent tender offer.
