The Indianapolis Colts ruled out defensive end Dwight Freeney for Sunday's game against the Houston Texans due to an abdominal injury.
Colts coach Jim Caldwell said that Freeney didn't travel with the team to Houston.
Freeney had been listed as questionable on the injury report after not practicing all week.
"He was getting better and moving along, but we just feel the best solution is for him to take a few more days to get ready,' Caldwell told ESPN.
The Colts are expected to split Freeney's playing time between Raheem Brock and Josh Thomas, who rejoined the team last week when running back Mike Hart was cut.
