It's too bad that the Minnesota Vikings and the Baltimore Ravens don't play each other every year because it would surely be entertaining to watch Vikings defensive end Jared Allen and Ravens offensive tackle Michael Oher trade barbs and shoves on an annual basis.

During his FOXSports.com radio spot today, Allen responded to Oher's critical comments with some verbal blasts of his own.

"Well, that's just some idiot trying to talk himself up," Allen said. "I beat that dude like a red-headed step child. Let's be honest. If he was so good why did they have to chip me all day? Ask him that. That's just a rookie trying to build his self confidence up.

"Besides, you lost and your quarterback spent his whole day on the back of his head until the fourth quarter. That guy will watch film today and realize. Everybody else in the world saw me abuse him."

Allen finished with seven tackles for losses, one sack and two quarterback hurries.

Oher was flagged twice for false starts, but said he felt like he "shut him out" in the second half.

It was Oher's second career start at left offensive tackle.

"There is nothing really special about him," Oher said.  "I think if we played them at home it would make a big difference. The false starts were just mistiming the snap.

"I think he found out I'm an OK player. Guy makes like $100 million. I think I did all right."

And Allen would beg to differ.
