The Buffalo Bills downgraded rookie tight end Shawn Nelson to out today heading into Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers.

Nelson has been dealing with flu symptoms this week.

The Bills will also be playing without quarterback Trent Edwards due to a concussion as well as starting safeties Donte Whitner and Bryan Scott.
