Perusing the special-teams market, the New England Patriots auditioned several players who specialize in the kicking game.

According to a league source, the Patriots tried out kickers Mike Nugent and Connor Barth, punter Tim Masthay and long snapper Joe Zelenka.

The Patriots didn't immediately sign anyone, though.
