When defensive tackle William Joseph rejoined the Oakland Raiders for the third time this year, the AFC West franchise needed to create a roster spot for him.

And veteran offensive guard Paul McQuistan was the unlucky player who lost his job.

The 6-foot-6, 315-pounder from Weber State is a former starter at offensive guard who has also played tackle for the Raiders.

He spent most of last season on injured reserve.

He has played in three games this season.
