New York Jets coach Rex Ryan is angry at the New England Patriots following a late pass from Tom Brady with the game well in hand during the Patriots' 31-14 rout.

The pass was incomplete, but that didn't matter to Ryan..

Ryan wound up calling a timeout with five seconds to go, and could be seen cursing the Patriots on the sidelines.

"It was surprising," Ryan told reporters Monday. "We needed to stop them anyway, so no biggie, but I was surprised and I did feel a little disrespected."

Moss caught five passes for 34 yards and a touchdown in his rematch against cornerback Darrelle Revis. Wes Welker caught 15 passes for 192 yards.

"I looked at it as an opportunity for us," Ryan said. "Throw it up deep; our guy is going to come down with it more than your guy is. If they want to throw it up to Revis, that's great. If they'd have thrown it to Welker again, I might have had a problem with it."

Ryan didn't attribute the attempt to run up the score to Belichick.

"Belichick . . . I don't even know how much he had to do with it more than that might have been something that Brady and Moss wanted to do," Ryan said.
