The reasons behind Miami Dolphins outspoken outside linebacker Joey Porter being a healthy scratch Sunday remain undisclosed, at least officially.

However, there's an unconfirmed FOX report that Porter angered Dolphins coach Tony Sparano by going out Friday night after not practicing Wednesday or Thursday.

Sparano declined to elaborate on why Porter was deactivated for Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

"Anything I do I keep in house," Sparano told reporters. "To me, what goes in our family, in that locker room, stays in that locker room.

"Somebody else wants to put it out there, let them put it out there. But they ain't getting it from me."

Porter wasn't on the sidelines for the game, but is expected to rejoin the team today.

Porter struggled against the New England Patriots ,getting shut out with no tackles after a week where he criticized the Patriots and said that quarterback Tom Brady gets special treatment from officials.

Heading into the Tampa Bay game, he was listed as probable with a knee injury.

Sparano made it a point to say that Porter was scratched because of "a coach's decision."

Translation: Porter was being disciplined without being suspended.

Starting in Porter's place, Charlie Anderson recorded six tackles, one sack and two forced fumbles.
