Rams' Sam Bradford tears ACL

Sam Bradford's season is over.

The St. Louis Rams quarterback tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee and will undergo surgery and be placed on injured reserve, according to ESPN.

Bradford was injured during the fourth quarter of a 30-15 defeat to the Carolina Panthers.

He landed badly on a scramble play toward the sideline.

"I'm not going to deal with hypotheticals right now until I find out what really is going on with him," Rams coach Jeff Fisher said prior to MRI testing. "It makes no sense to rush to a conclusion until we know. We'll get a medical and then we'll go from there. He was in significant pain on the sideline."
