From Jim Thomas of The St. Louis Post Dispatch:
With the NFL draft less than three weeks away, general manager Billy Devaney says the phone lines are open at Rams Park. In other words, the team is willing to listen to any trade proposals from clubs interested in moving up to the Rams' No. 2 overall spot.
"Yeah, in the position we're in, we'll consider everything," Devaney said. "It's a little early. We kind of play with scenarios in our mind right now. But we haven't gotten down to the nitty-gritty, if you will, to say: 'OK, how far back would we trade?' "
In reading the story on Detroit possibly letting time expire on their #1 spot, then reentering to draft at a lower spot, why can't the Rams just do the same?
if this is the case, why don't they just let the teams come forward as they wish, don't have a set order, and everyone gets to pick once in the first, once in the second....etc based on how many they should have in that round?
Letting teams pass the opportunity and come back to it later kind of makes the whole idea of draft order pointless, does it not?
You are allowed to pass in the draft
I think it is time for the league to take a hard look at the high dollar contracts commanded by these untested draft picks
I think there may be a couple teams out there willing to take the jump up. Maybe Denver would be willing to package one of their 1st round picks to be able to get Curry. Lord knows they need all the help they can get on D. Rams fall back to maybe 12th and are still in a good position to get O-Line help, a good LB, or a WR. I wouldn't count it out at all.
To the Rams TRADE YOUR PICK none of the ol are no where near Long or pace. i would not paid them that type of money period. if you can work out a trade great if not take curry...no brainerif denver tardes it pick i'll take #12 and their 2nd pick plus a player. Do not take smith or monroe. we have young talent it time for the to produce or release them!Dam this is so simple

Well that's great for the Rams, but who actually wants to trade up to the 2nd pick? Doesn't matter how badly they wanna trade down if they have no partner to trade up. Same is true of Detroit; they'd trade the #1 in a heartbeat if they could find a taker.
I personally have a hard time believing we'll see any trade in the top 3 or so picks. Seattle at #4 is the first realistic trade scenario I could envision.
