In an effort to improve their special teams, the Washington Redskins worked out punter Jay Ottovegio today.  A 2008 graduate of Stanford University, Ottovegio spent the 2008 preseason with the Dallas Cowboys before getting cut.

The desire to improve their special teams comes as no surprise as the Redskins averaged only 40.5 yards per punt last season, which ranked 29th in the NFL.
