From The Boston Herald:
A Kansas City radio station, 610 Sports, reported earlier this evening, that the Chiefs have offered Pats V.P. of player personnel Scott Pioli the job of general manager. However, the station cites sources who claim there are two major sticking points the sides are still haggling over: money and control over football operations.
With respect to the football operations, the report discusses the Chiefs coaching staff, and current coach Herm Edwards. It’s believed Chiefs owner Clark Hunt would like to retain Edwards, but probably wouldn’t allow that to be a deal breaker, should Pioli want to dismiss the current coach.
Cisco, I'd imagine Kirk Ferentz, the University of Iowa head coach would be appearing on any Pioli shortlist. He's been linked to several NFL head coaching jobs before, he's a staunch Belichickian and a friend of Pioli's.

Being a Chiefs fan--I have to applaud this move. If it comes through. Any word on who Pioli would like to hire as the new coach?
