From ESPN.com:

RICHMOND, Va. -- A person familiar with the release details says suspended NFL star Michael Vick has left a Kansas prison to begin home confinement in Virginia.

The person spoke on condition of anonymity because no public announcement has been made. The person said Vick left the federal penitentiary at Leavenworth before dawn Wednesday.

The Daily Press of Newport News, Va., first reported Vick's release, citing sources on the scene. While a large media contingent was awaiting Vick's release, the former Atlanta Falcons quarterback avoided reporters and left by a different entrance, according to the report.

Vick is due to return to his Hampton, Va., home and serve the remainder of his federal sentence on house arrest, through July 20. He served the past 19 months at Leavenworth after pleading guilty to bankrolling a dogfighting ring.

How did he get out a day early?

Watch Vick have all the 'correct' lines from this point on. He already wants to work with the Humane Society. I'm sure all the people now around him have 'coached' him well. All the 'politically correct' statements will flow from his mouth as if he actually came up with the statements himself. The PR blitz begins.

Unfortunately, there just may be enough gullible bleeding-heart people who fall for it & allow Vick to regain his lost vocation along with its treasures.

More evidence our society is on life-support.

To NFL Owners: Please, please, please do not hire Vick for your team. Resist the temptation because it is fool's gold. No amount of wins on the NFL field is worth it and he will not make your team that much better anyhow.

Grow some cajones, look into the mirror and do what your conscience tells you to do and what is right.

DO NOT sign Vick.
