Seattle Seahawks home opener most expensive Week 2 NFL Tickets
Two weeks into the NFL season, there’s already been a few surprises. While two weeks is not nearly enough to know how the rest of the season will play out, some early games have already impacted ticket prices on the secondary market. Three of the teams hosting one of five most expensive games on the secondary market have a 2-0 record heading into Week 3, while the other two are winless, but still cling to high preseason expectations. Below are the top five games of Week 3 by average tickets price on the secondary market, according to TiqIQ.
Chicago Bears at Seattle Seahawks | Avg. Price: $370.96 | Get-in Price: $194 It’s not often a game between two teams without a win will be the most expensive game of the week, but that’s the case this week in Seattle. The Seahawks have started 0-2, but both of those games came on the road, so they will play their first game of season at CenturyLink Field Sunday against Chicago. While the game is the most expensive of the week, it will actually feature the second least expensive Seahawks tickets in 2015. Get to the stadium through Hipmunk.com, which provides cheap Seattle airfare for a game day trip. The most efficient trip is clicks away, as Hipmunk has hotels in Seattle starting from $83 near the stadium or near the airport. Jacksonville Jaguars at New England Patriots | Avg. Price: $335.61 | Get-in Price: $146 It’s still early in the season, but this is a matchup between two first place teams. The Patriots have steamrolled their way through their first two opponents, while the Jaguars sit atop the AFC South after a surprise victory over the Miami Dolphins. Three Patriots games will be less expensive than this matchup later in the season, against Miami, Tennessee and Buffalo. However, the $146 get-in price is more expensive than all but one home game, against the New York Jets. Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens | Avg. Price: $271.57 | Get-in Price: $72 After three AFC North teams made the playoffs last season, the Baltimore Ravens were expected by many to be the favorite to pull away from the division this year. However after losses to the Denver Broncos and the Oakland Raiders, the Ravens enter their home opener with an 0-2 record. Meanwhile, the Cincinnati Bengals handled the Raiders and the San Diego Chargers and enter the game 2-0. Ravens tickets against the Bengals will be the second most expensive in Baltimore this season, behind only a Week 16 game against the Steelers. Atlanta Falcons at Dallas Cowboys | Avg. Price: $244.37 | Get-in Price: $79 The Dallas Cowboys are undefeated this season, but hope is slowly fading from Dallas. In the first two weeks, the Cowboys have lost Dez Bryant and Tony Romo for extended periods of time. It has started to pay a bit of a toll on the price for Cowboys tickets on the secondary market as the game against the Falcons has dropped 7% since the weekend. Philadelphia Eagles at New York Jets | Avg. Price: $223.27 | Get-in Price: $76 Expectations for the New York Jets were increased with the roster additions and a new head coach in Todd Bowles, but a 2-0 record might be better than most expected. The Jets will host the struggling Philadelphia Eagles at home this week for what will be the most expensive Jets home game of the season. Only one other game, Week 16 against the Patriots, has an average price above $200.
