Source: Auburn running back Cameron Artis-Payne met with Patriots, Browns

Auburn standout running back Cameron Artis-Payne has met with the New England Patriots and Cleveland Browns, according to a source. Artis-Payne has drawn high marks for his production, character and intelligence and hands. He played in the Senior Bowl. The 5-foot-10. 212-pounder ran the 40-yard dash in 4.53 seconds with a 36 1/2 inch vertical leap.
Artis-Payne is a patient runner with good vision and power.
Artis-Payne rushed for 1,608 yards last season and was an honorable-mention All-American and a team offensive Most Valuable Player.
He finished with 2,218 career rushing yards and 19 touchdowns.
Artis-Payne is a junior college transfer who had 610 yards and six touchdowns in his first season after transferring.
The Harrisburg, Pa., native was the nation's top junior college running back at Allan Hancock in California, rushing for 2,048 yards and 25 touchdowns in 2012 and 1,364 yards and 18 touchdowns in 2011 as a freshman.
