The New York Jets are trying out former Denver Broncos defensive end Quanterus Smith, according to a league source. Smith is a former fifth-round draft pick. He played collegiately at Western Kentucky. Smith is a former Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Year who had 12 1/2 sacks as a senior and 24 sacks for his career.
