Source: Lions try out Chris Clemons, three other defensive backs
The Detroit Lions worked out veteran safety Chris Clemons, according to a league source.
The Lions also auditioned defensive backs Anthony Walters, Tommy Campbell and Rashad "Rock" Carmichael.
The Texans released Clemons after signing him to a two-year, $2.7 million contract this spring that included $450,000 in guaranteed money.
The 6-foot-1, 214-pounder had 93 tackles and one interception last season for the Miami Dolphins.
Before signing with the Texans, Clemons visited the Lions during free agency. The Lions wound up signing former Baltimore Ravens safety James Ihedigbo to a two-year, $3.15 million contract.
A former Clemson standout, Clemons has 278 career tackles, 17 pass deflections, four interceptions and two forced fumbles.
The 28-year-old played five seasons for the Dolphins.
