The Washington Redskins are sending their defensive staff to Macon, Ga., on Monday to meet with Kentucky pass rusher Bud Dupree, according to a source.
Clemson outside linebacker Vic Beasley visited the Redskins last week.
Dupree ran the 40-yard dash in 4.56 seconds and had a 42-inch vertical leap at the NFL scouting combine. At his Pro Day, he had a 4.47 20-yard shuttle and a 7.49 three-cone drill.
The 6-foot-4, 270-pounder was a team captain for the Wildcats who had 7.5 sacks as a senior and 23.5 sacks for his career. He finished second on the team with 74 tackles, including 12.5 tackles for losses. He returned an interception for a touchdown against South Carolina. He started the final 38 games of his career and had 36 tackles for loss in his 45-game career. He was a first-team all-state selection in Georgia, where he was a four-year starter at tight end and a three-year starter at defensive end. He had 10 receiving touchdowns and 10 sacks as a senior.
