Source: Virginia C Luke Bowanko visiting Jaguars today

University of Virginia center Luke Bowanko is visiting the Jacksonville Jaguars today and Thursday, according to a league source.

Bowanko has previously visited the Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers..

At the Cavaliers' campus Pro Day workout, Bowanko ran the 40-yard dash in 5.25 seconds, bench pressed 225 pounds 26 times and had a 27-inch vertical leap and an 8-3 broad jump.

A team captain for the Cavaliers, Bowanko started every game last season, the final eight at center after starting the first four at left guard.

An All-State AFCA Good Works Team nominee and a Wuerffel Trophy nominee, Bowanko helped Cavaliers running back Kevin Parks become the first UVA runner to rush for 1,000 yards since 2004.

As a junior, Bowanko started every game and shifted from center to right guard.

He was a three-year starter.

At Centrevill High School, he was one of the top ranked players in the region and nation and also played basketball.
