From John McClain of The Houston Chronicle:
General manager Rick Smith and coach Gary Kubiak improved the offense, defense and special teams with eight picks in two days, but they failed to draft a running back to complement Steve Slaton.

“We hoped we could have gotten a back out of the draft, (but) the opportunity at that position never materialized today,” Smith said. “We just felt today that when we had those opportunities (to draft backs), we had good players at other positions that were better value, and those are the guys we took.
“There are other ways we can solve that issue.”
Smith hopes the Texans solved the issue with two undrafted free agents — Oregon’s Jeremiah Johnson (5-9, 209) and Tennessee’s Arian Foster (6-1, 226), both of whom were 1,000-yard rushers hampered by injuries.

Great pick-ups! Although Foster is on the slower side, he could be a nice change of pace big back who could handle the short yardage load.Johnson on the other hand is a smaller, third down type back who probably can return kicks as well. I think both guys can stick!
