Michael Vick's bankruptcy attorney says the former NFL star could be moved from a federal prison in Kansas to a halfway house in Virginia by late January.

Atlanta Falcons quarterback is serving 23 months for bankrolling a dogfighting ring.
Attorney Michael Blumenthal said in court Tuesday that Vick's representatives are working to get him released to the halfway house. The hearing was on a disclosure statement Vick filed in his bankruptcy case.
A committee of major creditors argued that the statement lacked detail and provided no assurance that Vick will be able to resume his football career after his release. He filed for federal bankruptcy protection in July.
The bankruptcy judge ordered Vick to submit a new statement.
