From NFL.com:
Pittsburgh Steelers WR Hines Ward left Sunday’s AFC Championship Game in the second quarter with a knee injury and didn’t return. After the game, Ward said it was “a little sprain” and that he wouldn’t miss Super Bowl XLIII against the Arizona Cardinals on Feb. 1 in Tampa.
“It was a typical, hard-hitting, physical game,” Ward said of the Steelers’ 23-14 victory over the Baltimore Ravens. “It’s the way every Baltimore-Pittsburgh game is. Sometimes guys get hit so hard, you don’t know if they’re going to get up.”
Ward was the MVP of the Steelers’ Super Bowl XL victory over the Seattle Seahawks in the 2005 season.
