From Mike Reiss of the Boston Globe:

BOLTON – Nose tackle Vince Wilfork, who is unhappy with his contract situation, was part of a radio interview on the “Dale & Holley Show” on sports radio WEEI today. The station is broadcasting live from today’s Patriots Charitable Foundation Golf Tournament, and Wilfork sat down with hosts Dale Arnold and Michael Holley at The International.
More context continues to come into focus with Wilfork’s contract situation, which was detailed in the Boston Globe prior to the Patriots’ organized team activity on May 28. Wilfork did not attend voluntary OTAs.
“It’s nothing personal towards the organization, it’s nothing personal towards my coaches or anything like that,” Wilfork said today on WEEI. “It’s just basically what made the most sense to me at this point in time. …
This guy has outplayed his contract (6 years is a long time) and done so as the core of a great defensive line that covers for a weak secondary. He's been everything a Patriot is supposed to be thus far in his career. Pay the man.

I try to never hold it against a football player for wanting to get paid.
So many of them give so much to the league and fans.
We love you in NE big Vince, but you gotta do what you gotta do.
