From Gary Estwick of The Tennessean:

Vince YoungAPTitans quarterback Vince Young thought about walking away from the game

Vince Young has revealed that the emotional ordeal surrounding the 2008 season opener in which he was booed at LP Field caused him to consider quitting football, a sentiment he had previously denied after similar situations in his three-year NFL career.

“I was to the point where man, I didn’t really want to play no more because of the fact that I was that hurt,” Young told ESPN’s E:60 in an interview that will air on this morning’s 9 a.m. edition of SportsCenter. “I was that hurt from the boos and all the different things that were going on. It was just so much for me — I didn’t want to play no more.”

The comments are the latest in recent weeks from Young, the No. 3 pick of the 2006 NFL Draft and former Titans starting quarterback.

Vince Young quitting is the equivalent of the adage "If a tree falls in a forest and no one is near to hear it, does it make a sound?" Young has shown nothing to date, can't throw on an NFL level, can't read NFL defenses, and doesn't have the character to suck it up and compete. Had Young been picked in the third round, rather than the third pick, he'd just be another unheard tree crashing in that forest.

He's gotta stop talking! Good lord, he's become the Lindsey Lohan of the NFL. What's next, an announcement that he's "back, and ready to lead"?

I keep imagining him bothering Jeff Fisher the way Dirk Diggler bothered Jack Horner at the end of "Boogie Nights". "Alright coach, I'm ready to play now. I want to play now! I'm ready now. Now! Put me in!"
