Bellotti discusses NCAA investigation into Oregon

Former Oregon head coach and athletic director Mike Bellotti joined Jay Allen of 750AM The Game on Tuesday from Peter Jacobsen's Legends of Golf Tournament to benefit Oregon student-athletes. Bellotti gave some insight into the NCAA's investigation into Willie Lyles' involvement in the program.

Among the highlights of the interview, the ESPN and ABC analyst said he has talked to head coach Chip Kelly and it's his inclination that the Ducks were likely involved in a bad business deal with Lyles more so than the program making a bad choice about how it does business. Kelly told him he feels like he's done nothing wrong, and Bellotti said that he believes him.

While he knows that the Lyles mess "puts a black eye on everything," Bellotti still believes that Oregon is a program that "does it the right way." However, he does think the Ducks will receive some sort of NCAA sanctions but he has no idea on the severity.
