Boston College DE Albright out for season

Boston College defensive end Alex Albright has a fractured right fibula and will miss the rest of the season, according to a school spokesman.

The senior captain was injured in the third quarter of BC’s 24-21 loss to Maryland on Saturday. Albright logged nine tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, an interception and two pass breakups on the season.

He has battled health issues throughout his career at BC, suffering a neck injury in 2008 and a broken left forearm in ‘07.

Starting safety Wes Davis was also injured against the Terrapins. The senior injured his neck and was carted off the field, but he was scheduled to be discharged from the hospital Sunday. He has full movement and is listed as day to day.

The Eagles are on a five-game skid and remain winless in the ACC heading into Saturday’s home game against Clemson.
