Boston College demotes Shinskie in preparation for ND
Like many Boston College fans and alumni, Frank Spaziani apparently has seen enough of David Shinskie under center.
The Eagles head coach said Sunday that the team will have a new starting quarterback when the offense lines up next week against Notre Dame.
The announcement came following a 19-0 home loss to Virginia Tech in which the 26-year-old Shinskie was just 11 of 25 for 130 yards and two interceptions before being replaced by Mike Marscovetra.
Marscovetra and Chase Rettig will compete this week for the starting gig.
This season, Shinskie is 39 of 72 for 529 yards with four touchdowns and four interceptions.
