Buckeyes take another hit on offense

Ohio State's offense is nothing short of ugly.

The Buckeyes have already had two woeful performances, in losses to Miami and Michigan State, so they're unquestionably looking forward to getting receiver DeVier Posey, running back Boom Herron and left tackle Mike Adams back from suspension this week for their game at Nebraska. But will their returns be enough considering the team's subpar play at quarterback?

It may not get any easier with receiver Verlon Reed suffering a right knee injury and being out indefinitely, according to Tim May of the Columbus Dispatch. Reed suffered the injury against the Spartans during an onside kick with seven seconds left.

The only saving grace for head coach Luke Fickell is that Posey will fill the starting wide receiver spot left by Reed. There's also a chance that receiver Corey Brown, who started the first two games, could return this week after missing the last couple of games with a high ankle sprain.
