Clemson lands another top Class of 2013 defender
After receiving a verbal commitment from the nation's top overall player, defensive end Robert Nkemdiche, Clemson added another strong defender to its 2013 class when it snagged strongside end Elijah Daniel on Sunday afternoon.
The Avon High School (Avon, IN) four-star recruit is a Top 10 defensive end nationally and had offers from major powers such as Alabama, Florida, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Oklahoma.
The 6-3, 250-pounder, who is the younger brother of Georgia defensive end Montez Robinson and Marshall linebacker Armonze Daniel, is the Tigers' ninth commitment for 2013 and its seventh defensive player.
New defensive coordinator Brent Venables certainly has to be pleased with the number of top-notch defenders the program has been able to get in this current recruiting cycle.
