Former Notre Dame commit to take a Pac-12 tour
Tee Shepard, one of the more important players in Notre Dame's Class of 2012 who left South Bend in the middle of spring practice after enrolling early, will take a tour of Pac-12 schools as he looks for a new place to play football, according to Scout.com.
One of the higher-rated defensive backs brought in by the Fighting Irish in recent years, Shepard returned to his home state of California after leaving Notre Dame and has already visited UCLA and Washington State. He will visit Washington next and is also scheduled to visit USC.
Shepard, who will have to sit out the 2012 season, cited his desire to play closer to home as his reason for leaving Brian Kelly's program.
