Four-star recruit decommits from Penn State

Penn State has lost yet another member of its prospective Class of 2013.

Dorian Johnson, a Rivals.com four-star offensive tackle, has decommitted from the Nittany Lions.

The 6-6, 285-pound Belle Vernon High School (Belle Vernon, PA) product informed Nittany Lions head coach Bill O’Brien of his decision via telephone Tuesday evening. Johnson is considered a Top 25 offensive tackle nationally.

Pittsburgh, Ohio State and Virginia Tech are now considered frontrunners for Johnson's services. It will be interesting to see if Pitt can capitalize on in-state recruits following the sanctions placed against Penn State by the NCAA.

Earlier on Tuesday, Maryland wide receiver/linebacker Zach Bradshaw decommitted from the Nittany Lions and later gave a verbal commitment to Virginia.

Five players have now decommited from Penn State’s 2013 class in recent weeks. O'Brien currently has nine players left in the class. Unfortunately for the first-year Nittany Lions head coach, it looks like it will be an uphill battle to keep and bring in top recruits moving forward.
