Gamecocks top recruit Clowney frisked by police officers

Jadeveon Clowney, the top player in the Class of 2011, was frisked by police in South Carolina early Friday morning after receiving a standing ovation at a local bar.

The South Pointe High School senior, who is expected to be an impact defender for Steve Spurrier and the Gamecocks if he qualifies academically, was reportedly at the Salty Nut bar before being frisked by officers in the parking lot behind the establishment. Of course, Clowney should be nowhere near a bar being that he is underage.

According to a report, Clowney was not detained and the cause of the search wasn't immediately known. But the scene caused some college students to boo and become upset, knowing the subject of the frisking.

Even if this turns out to not be a big deal, it's not the best impression Clowney wanted to make, especially considering he hasn't even made it onto campus yet.
