Georgia RB King jailed

If you’re scoring at home, make it 11 Georgia football players arrested this year.

Running back Caleb King was booked into the Athens-Clarke County jail early Monday for allegedly failing to appear in court on a traffic charge.

According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the 22-year-old was stopped on June 20 and ticketed for going 76 mph in a 55 mph zone. When he failed to show up for an August 6 court date, a judge issued a warrant for his arrest.

Head coach Mark Richt is aware of the redshirt junior’s situation and is gathering information.

King rushed for 58 yards in the Bulldogs’ 41-14 victory over Tennessee on Saturday. He is second on the team with 228 rushing yards and one touchdown on the season.

Since March, 11 Bulldogs have been arrested on charges ranging from battery to public intoxication. All of the charges have been misdemeanors.
