Gus Johnson calls Abby Wambach's goal
There's not much to say after watching Sunday's Women’s World Cup game between the United States and Brazil -- it was incredible.
Facing the skilled Brazilians, who had an extra player for nearly an hour, the Americans tied the game at 2-2 on a header from forward Abby Wambach in the final minute of overtime. Goalkeeper Hope Solo then played strong in the shootout, and her diving stop on Daiana’s attempt ultimately was the difference when U.S. defender Ali Krieger's kick found the back of the net on the team's final chance in the shootout.
The Americans, incredibly, are now in the semifinals.
What would it sound like if Wambach's game-tying goal was called by "Mr. March Madness" Gus Johnson? Give this one a listen.
And for those who missed it, the USA-Brazil game will re-air tonight on ESPN2 at Midnight ET.
