Indiana lands first commitment for its Class of 2013

Indiana received its first verbal commitment for the Class of 2013 when head coach Kevin Wilson received a pledge from wide receiver Isaac Griffith.

The Homestead High School (Fort Wayne, IN) product caught 60 passes for 1,112 yards and 22 touchdowns as a junior last season. The 6-0, 180-pounder received a scholarship offer from Wilson and Co. after attending a camp in Bloomington on Sunday.

Griffith, a former quarterback who already holds several single-season and career receiving school records, will join James Hardy, Damarlo Belcher and Dre Muhammad as recent prep stars from the Fort Wayne area to play for IU. Griffith chose the Hoosiers after having offers from Ball State, Kent State, Toledo, Miami of Ohio and Wyoming.
