Jim Kelly's nephew heading to Ole Miss
The nephew of former Buffalo Bills great Jim Kelly is set to join Ole Miss, according to his Twitter account.
Chad Kelly, who originally enrolled at Clemson after being a four-star recruit out of high school, spent the past season at East Mississippi Community College, where he helped lead the school to its third NJCAA national championship in the past four seasons. On the year, he completed nearly 67 percent of his throws and recorded 47 passing touchdowns against just eight interceptions.
All I Can Say Is HottyToddy!!!!!! It's A Great Day To Be A Ole Miss Rebel !!!! Can't Wait To Be A Rebel !!!! #HottyToddy— Chad Kelly (@ChadKelly_11) December 10, 2014
If Kelly enrolls in Oxford, he would be the third straight signal-caller from EMCC to commit to the Rebels, following Randall Mackey and current starter Bo Wallace, whose eligibility expires after this year's bowl game.
The New York native was expected to compete for the Tigers in their race to replace Tajh Boyd, but he was kicked off of the team earlier in the spring after an altercation with coaches during the team's spring game. He will have a chance to compete for an SEC starting job next year, however, with Wallace moving on.
