Katy Perry bounced from Sesame Street
Today’s children certainly seem to be growing up faster these days — for a variety of reasons.
Sesame Street producers, however, aren’t willing to contribute to the process.
The PBS children’s show announced Thursday morning that a scheduled appearance by pop star Katy Perry had been canceled.

On Monday, a clip of Perry wearing the best dress ever and singing a G-rated version of her hit “Hot N Cold” was leaked on the Internet. Shortly thereafter, many parents took to comments pages and message boards and protested Perry's guest appearance for simply showing off what God so beautifully gave her.
Oh, Perry also asked Elmo to “play” on numerous occasions. Perhaps that’s just me looking too much into things.
“You're going to have to rename [Sesame Street] Cleavage Avenue,” wrote one commenter. Another person joked, “My kid wants milk now.”
So Sesame Street pulled the segment from the show in response to the concerned parents. The clip was scheduled to appear later this year as part of the show’s 41st season.
“Sesame Street has always been written on two levels, for the child and adult," a spokesperson said in a statement. "We use parodies and celebrity segments to interest adults in the show because we know that a child learns best when co-viewing with a parent or care-giver. We also value our viewers' opinions, and particularly those of parents. In light of the feedback we’ve received on the Katy Perry music video, which was released on YouTube only, we have decided we will not air the segment on the television broadcast of Sesame Street, which is aimed at preschoolers."
Some fans, however, have taken to the ‘Net to defend the video and Perry.
“Holy crap, people,” wrote one perturbed YouTube commenter. "Yes, women have breasts."
We here at the Daily Jolt would like to invite Ms. Perry to our office and give her a platform to defend herself in light of this outrageous crime committed by Sesame Street. However, Katy, if you bring Russell Brand, I'm gonna have to kick his ass. Just warning you.
