Kentucky remains hot on the recruiting trail
Kentucky received its fourth pledge in three days as linebacker Nico Firios announced that he plans on heading to Lexington. The 6-1, 220-pounder from Lyman High School (Longwood, FL) chose the 'Cats over offers from Louisville, South Florida and Wisconsin, among others. Firios, who is ranked as a three-star recruit by Rivals.com, could play both inside and outside 'backer at the next level.
The addition of Firios makes UK’s 2014 class even stronger and is putting it in brand-new terrain in terms of national team recruiting rankings, although we are still eight months from National Signing Day next February. The 'Cats recently received pledges from Florida defensive end Denzel Ware and Ohio defensive backs Mike Edwards and Darius West. UK has 15 commitments thus far in this cycle.
