LSU lands top JUCO wide receiver

LSU received its tenth commitment in the Class of 2014 late Friday as standout junior college wide receiver D'haquille Williams of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College decided to play for Les Miles and the Tigers.

Arguably the best JUCO receiver in the nation, Williams is expected to graduate at midterm, and many recruiting analysts believe that his combination of size and speed bodes well not just for his major-college career but for a bright professional future as well.

The 6-2, 190-pound former East Saint John High School (Reserve, LA) product was considered one of the best players in the Class of 2011 coming out of high school, but academics led him to go the JUCO route. He is the Tigers' second wide receiver pledge in the 2014 class, joining Texas native Tony Upchurch.

This is the second straight cycle that Miles has went the JUCO route for a top wide receiver. The Tigers signed Quantavius Leslie of Hinds Community College (Mississippi) in the 2013 class and is scheduled to graduate next week before joining the Tigers this summer.
