Michigan nets 10th commitment from Ohio

First-year Michigan head coach Brady Hoke continued to add to his list of recruits in the Class of 2012 with the verbal commitment of defensive end Chris Wormley.

The 6-6, 270-pounder made his decision public during a visit to Ann Arbor for Michigan's "BBQ at the Big House" recruiting event. Wormley, who hails from Toledo, Ohio, is the 21st prospective member of the Wolverines' 2012 class, which is trending toward becoming one of the nation's best hauls.

Despite being a lifelong Michigan fan, Wormley was seriously pursued by fellow Midwest programs Ohio State, Notre Dame and Michigan State. Alabama, Tennessee, and Florida also extended offers.

Rivals.com lists Wormley as a three-star recruit and the 22nd-best defensive end in the nation. Scout.com grades him as a four-star prospect and the 20th best defensive end in the country.
