Michigan State suspends CB Rucker

Michigan State has suspended cornerback Chris L. Rucker at least one game for an unspecified violation of team rules.

The senior recorded his first interception of the season in Saturday's win against Michigan.

Spartans head coach Mark Dantonio said Rucker will miss at least this week's game against Illinois, and it's possible that the suspension could last longer.

Dantonio said true freshman Darqueze Dennard will start in Rucker's place against the Illini

The 6-2, 200-pounder has 40 tackles, three tackles for loss, a forced fumble and four pass breakups this season.
