Michigan to hold press conference to discuss NCAA investigation

The University of Michigan will hold a press conference at 1 p.m. ET in Ann Arbor today to discuss the NCAA’s report regarding its investigation into the football program.

The university did not release a ton of information, but it did disclose that head football coach Rich Rodriguez, president Mary Sue Coleman and athletics director David Brandon will be present.

Both the school and the NCAA conducted investigations into the football program after an August report in the Detroit Free Press detailed possible time-limit violations by the team. Both former and current Wolverines revealed that coaches exceeded NCAA time limits for practices and training sessions.

On Feb. 3, Michigan's Board of Regents held a closed-door meeting to provide an update on the NCAA's investigation. Since that meeting, a Michigan alum has sued the board for engaging a closed-door session.
