NFP Top 25
Week 8 of the 2012 college football season is in the books, and it wasn’t exactly the most memorable of weekends. However, some major powers remained in the BCS title race, including Florida, Notre Dame and Kansas State.
Let’s take a look at how the National Football Post stacks up the Top 25 heading into the ninth week of the season.

1. Alabama (7-0) 
AJ McCarron threw for a career-high 306 yards and four touchdowns Saturday night as the Crimson Tide rolled Tennessee 44-13 at Neyland Stadium.

2. Oregon (7-0) 
Kenjon Barner rushed for three scores as the Ducks blew out Arizona State on Thursday 43-21.
3. Kansas State (7-0) 
Collin Klein became the Heisman Trophy frontrunner after throwing for a career-high 323 yards and three touchdowns and rushing for four scores in a 55-14 victory over West Virginia.
4. Florida (7-0) 
Jeff Driskel accounted for four touchdowns as the Gators clobbered South Carolina 44-11.
5. Notre Dame (7-0) 
Theo Riddick ran for a career-high 143 yards as the Fighting Irish rallied for a 17-14 win over BYU.
6. LSU (7-1) 
The Tigers defense clamped down on Johnny Manziel and used another career day from running back Jeremy Hill in a win over Texas A&M.
7. Oregon State (6-0) 
The Beavers are off to their best start in 105 years after a 21-7 victory over Utah.
8. Ohio State (8-0) 
The Buckeyes survived the loss of Braxton Miller to rally and beat Purdue at home.
9. Oklahoma (5-1) 
Oklahoma ripped off 38 first-half points in a rout over Kansas.
10. Florida State (7-1) 
The Seminoles shook off a slow start to sink Miami (FL).
11. Clemson (6-1) 
The Tigers recorded three interceptions and made a pair of fourth-down stops in a 38-17 victory over Virginia Tech.
12. USC (6-1) 
Matt Barkley established USC’s new career mark for touchdown passes in the Trojans' 50-6 victory over Colorado.
